The field day will be held on an intensive horticulture farm incorporating field grown blueberries and hothouses. The steepness of the farm has required good soil and groundcover management to be implemented.

Chat with the farmer: We will chat with farm owner Amaredeep Singh about his on farm experiences with managing soils and groundcover on his farm.

NSW Soils Knowledge Network Inc. (SKN): The SKN will share their many years of knowledge and experience on soil and the importance of groundcover. The SKN group of retired and semi retired soil specialists who are passionate about soil and the land. They are happy to answer any soil related questions you may have.

Soil carbon: Sam Duncan from FarmLab will talk about the benefits of improving soil carbon on farm and the methods that can be used to measure it so any increases may be accounted for.

Farm Tour: A tour of the farm led by Simon Proust (soils consultant) & Mel Craig (Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare) showcasing some of the soil conservation and groundcover improvement works. We will also walk to the neighbouring farm to view their hothouses set up for raspberries.
