DESCRIPTION:This Pop Up Planting will occur on Wednesday 27th November from 10am-12pm. We will be planting a forage garden from which WIRES volunteers will be able to collect forage material for rescued wildlife in their care. Activities will include planting tubestock\, installing small tree guards and mulching. The planting site is located on a section of reserve between the Botanic Gardens carpark and the cemetery. Please wear enclosed shoes\, a hat and bring water. Light refreshments will be served.   \nThis project received funding from WIRES through their annual National Grants Program. DESCRIPTION:This workshop to be held at Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare Community Nursery is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in growing their own native plants. You will learn techniques and tips on how to grow native plants successfully. This workshop will teach and demonstrate the basic principles of propagating a variety of native seeds including the right growing media and containers to use. Other propagation techniques such as division and cuttings will also be discussed. The focus will be on native species that grow locally.
