Aboriginal Landcare Officer – North Coast Regional Landcare Network

North Coast Regional Landcare Network Inc (NCRLN) seeks to employ a highly motivated
person to fulfil the role of Aboriginal Landcare Officer (ALO). The position will be based in
the North Coast Region of NSW, and will work primarily with the 11 district Landcare
network members of NCRLN and key strategic partners. The region extends from Tweed
Shire Council in the north to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council in the south, and west to the
Great Dividing Range.

North Coast Regional Landcare Network is an independent not-for-profit organisation
supporting Landcare networks on the NSW North Coast. We are a well-connected
community network that addresses local and regional environmental issues through
community action in sustainable agriculture and natural resource management. With a
combined network of over 5000 individuals, 300 on-ground groups and 11 district networks,
NCRLN is a highly recognised, well-respected provider of facilitation, capacity building,
education and skills development services.

The Aboriginal Landcare Officer position is a component of the NCRLN Aboriginal
Engagement Program. The Program aims to increase opportunities to consciously develop
stronger connections and partnerships between Landcare groups and Aboriginal
communities. The Aboriginal Landcare Officer will work to support Aboriginal People to
have a voice within Landcare, to connect them with local Landcare communities and help
share Traditional Land Management approaches.
