TAFE NSW have offered some fully funded places for their TAFE online course called Statement of Attainment in Bush Regeneration (usually $1,300).
 The course is a significant time commitment (4 hours per week over 6 months). This course is aimed at students wanting skills and experience needed for entry into Diploma of Conservation and Land Management.

Students complete the following units:

Control weeds

AHCNAR201

Carry out natural area restoration works

AHCPCM201

Recognise plants

  
The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. To be eligible to get the course fully subsidies, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees, you must meet the following criteria:

  • meet citizenship requirements
  • be 15 years or over
  • live or work in NSW  (if you live in Queensland there are similar opportunities through TAFE QLD).
  • no longer be at school or its equivalent.
