The Great Southern BioBlitz is an opportunity for all Southern Hemisphere countries to record a snapshot of living organisms during Spring and showcase our glorious biodiversity to the world.  How many wild animals and plants live in your area? Are there any threatened species? Help scientists by documenting the ‘life’ in your area from the 24th – 27th of November 2023.

As part of this huge annual citizen science event, regions compete to see who can achieve the highest number of observations during an exciting 4 day period!  Our very own Coffs Harbour region is well up there on last year’s leader board, but organisers are hoping to do even better this year!  So, grab your camera, your family and friends and head outside to record any wild, living organism you can find anywhere in the Coffs Harbour or Bellingen local government areas.
