About the Conference

Landcare Australia, together with the 2021 National Landcare Conference Steering Committee, are proud to host the 2021 National Landcare Conference from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 August at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour in Sydney.

The National Landcare Conference is the largest knowledge sharing convention for the Landcare community. This national event brings together Landcare groups and volunteers, landholders and farmers, Indigenous land and sea managers, landcare facilitators and coordinators, educators, research agencies, natural resource management professionals, and other community environmental groups and individuals to share insights, learn and connect. The conference attracts delegates from around the world, and from rural, regional and urban communities in Australia with a common purpose – a vision to actively restore and protect the environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities.

With Landcare champion Costa Georgiadis as the MC, the 2021 National Landcare Conference promises to be an inclusive and inspiring event for anyone who cares about conservation activities, sustainable land management practices and community wellbeing. The Conference will include speakers on bushfire recovery and community resilience, Landcare farming, wellbeing and mental health, and cultural land management. The session streams include Environment and Climate Change, Sustainable Farming, Landcare Impact and Community Partnerships in Action.

All are welcome to attend portions of the conference on-line, however numbers for in-person attendance may be restricted due to Covid-19.
