Weeds of the North Coast of NSW – A guide to identification and control  is a practical manual to support land managers to identify and manage weeds, and understand their obligations under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015.

The new edition is a collaboration between North Coast Local Land Services and Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare.

The resource is in line with the North Coast Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan 2017-2022 (RSWMP) and includes all priority weeds in the North Coast Region. The book utilises a traffic light system to highlight priority weeds and provides information on which weeds need to be reported, eradicated and contained.

It is everyone’s responsibility to control, report and prevent the spread of weeds. The book is a practical manual to identify and manage weeds, along with understanding your obligations under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015.

The book also includes details about weed toxicity, plants that should not be sold and some common weed species that impact on agriculture and the environment.

Landcarers, landholders and professionals now have access to the most comprehensive list of weeds currently presenting a Biosecurity threat, as well as emerging threats to industry and natural environments of the region.

The pdf version of the book is interactive. Click on the contents to go to each relevant ‘chapter’. Click on the weed species in the index to go directly to the profile page. Click on the three dots in the top right hand corner for a ‘two page view’ – pages side by side, as they are in the physical book.
