On Monday, December 2nd, we hosted a wonderful Bush Regeneration Workshop at Nariah Crescent Landcare Site, Toormina. The event brought together enthusiastic volunteers for a hands-on session focused on essential weed management techniques.
The morning was filled with practical learning as attendees explored cut-and-paint and scrape-and-paint methods using glyphosate to tackle weeds. In addition to these techniques, we learned how to treat Ochna correctly, manage invasive vines, and identify differences between similar-looking native and weed species. These skills are invaluable in maintaining the balance of our local ecosystems and ensuring effective bush regeneration.
Led by Project Officer Ash, participants gained experience in these techniques while enjoying the opportunity to connect with like-minded CHRL members. We also shared a lovely morning tea, it was a delightful occasion to share stories, exchange ideas, and strengthen our collective commitment to improving local biodiversity.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success. Together we are making a positive impact on our local environment!
Stay tuned for more workshops and events in 2025.
