Two Weed Blitz Events at Darkum Landcare Site

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the two recent Weed Blitz events at the Darkum Landcare site on June 13th and September 12th. On June 13th, six volunteers worked hard to remove small weeds like senna and asparagus, contributing a total of 18 hours. A delicious morning tea added to the wonderful spirit of the day.

On September 12th, despite rainy conditions, five dedicated volunteers, alongside the Bush Dynamics team, returned to continue the invasive species removal in the same area targeted earlier in the year. Together, they filled five bags with weeds such as asparagus, senna, and lantana. Lyndy Rees, National Parks Ranger, led the induction and provided a lovely morning tea that was enjoyed by all.

Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and dedication in helping restore the site!
