The Glossy Project is a citizen science project led by BirdLife Australia, supporting the bushfire recovery of South-eastern Glossy Black-Cockatoos (a.k.a. “Glossies”) & their habitat on the Coffs Coast (Gumbaynggirr Country) in NSW.
The Great Glossy Count 2023 is being held on Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 September across south-eastern Qld, eastern NSW, the ACT & eastern Vic. Volunteer citizen scientists will explore their selected survey site(s) to collect data on Glossies & their
feeding habitat.
