This week is National Volunteer Week. Over 6 million people volunteer in Australia.
Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare would like to thank you for your dedication to CHRL and your contribution to the restoration of our local environment. Last year you contributed 11,866 hours to restoring our dunes, coastal reserves, riparian zones. This contribution equates to a dollar value of $479,624.
Our local environment would be in a much different state without you.
In addition, last year we saw:
- 103 new members sign up
- 5 new Landcare sites started
- 4 Landcare sites were extended
- 449 Mynas were trapped
We could not do this work without you.
Last year, through the pandemic, we were given the opportunity to recognise what is important. Many volunteers recognised the significance of their volunteer work. The value of connecting to the natural environment and local community groups, have positive impacts and rewards for all.
